When you arrive at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport you’ll be met at the baggage claim by our friendly guide. Just look for the sign with our Sun Getaways Travel logo and your name. We’ll get you to your hotel and see that you’re comfortable, plus we’ll give you an introduction to the city at the same time. 

Then the rest of the day is yours to settle in, relax, and explore the area.

Ho Chi Minh is a city that never sleeps and offers a plethora of great restaurants and bars catering to all tastes, from street food vendors to the rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel, where international correspondents covered the Vietnam War and where the U.S. military attaché’s press briefing was held daily and dubbed the “Five O’clock Follies”. Whatever your interests, be sure to ask your guide for personal recommendations. 

Night 1: Overnight in hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at your hotel, transfer for visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. After lunch in Cu Chi, driver back to Ho Chi Minh City. This afternoon, depending on your preference, visit either the War Remnants Museum or History Museum, and the former Presidential Palace. 

Finish the day with a stroll around the city’s colonial architecture, including the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. 

Night 2: Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Breakfast at your hotel. Then we’ll take you to the airport for a flight to Phu Quoc island. Arrive in Phu Quoc island, pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to relax on the famously beautiful island beach. Phu Quoc has a lot to offer. 

In addition to featuring its spectacular beach, this charming island is home to local villages whose way of life has remained unchanged over the span of generations. Excursions by jeep through the island’s interior reveal small neighborhoods where the famed Phu Quoc fish sauce is made, sprawling pepper plantations and dozens of tiny fishing hamlets. 

Night 3: Overnight in Phu Quoc

8h15 – 8h30: Pick up at your hotel

Arrive at An Thoi harbor. Hop on our speedboat, and explore four island south of Phu Quoc

Xuong island: start snorkeling

Buom island: explore coral world

Clear blue water with untouched and pristine coral reefs is home to much different marine life.

Gam Ghi Island: continue snorkeling experience.

The water in this area is shallow and with newly grown coral reefs.

Arrive at May Rut Trong island: lunch – chilling out by the beach

A welcome drinks serves together with lunch.

Free time to kick back to do as you please, walking around there are many hotspots for selfies ! If you are energetic, many sports activities are available, such as kayaking, and standup SUP with paddles.

16:00: Return to your hotel

Note: In case of weather conditions, the captain will change the island according to the actual situation

Night 4: Overnight in Phu Quoc

You’ll have a full day to spend however you’d like. Relax in the sun, go for a swim, or for the more adventurous.

Night 5: Overnight in Phu Quoc

You’ll have breakfast at the hotel and some morning free time, then we’ll come to pick you up and take you to the airport for a flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. 

When you arrive in HCMC we’ll collect you and transfer you to your hotel, then you have the day to spend as you’d like.

Night 6: Overnight in Sai Gon

From Ho Chi Minh we’ll take a short drive through lush green rice fields into the Mekong Delta.

On arrival in Hàm Luông pier. Cruise  on Bến Tre river  exploring  the  lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring…….see  brick making in  handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Take a walk to family workshop making sleep mats and enjoying some fruits and tea.

Riding a motor cart (xe lôi) or bike  on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on really life and find out  about tropical culture from Peasants. Lunch at Hai Hồ house.

Afternoon –  riding a sampan  along canal, before boat back to Ham Luông pier.  Back to your hotel.

Night 6: Overnight in Sai Gon

You have free time in the morning until your private car arrives to take you to the airport for your next destination. This is the end of your Glimpse of Southern Vietnam with Sun Getaways Travel.
