When you arrive at the Tan Son Nhat International airport you’ll be met at the baggage claim by our friendly driver. Just look for the sign with your name.
Then the rest of the day is yours to settle in, relax, and explore the area. Ho Chi Minh is a city that never sleeps and offers a plethora of great restaurants and bars catering to all tastes, from street food vendors to the rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel, where international correspondents covered the Vietnam War and where the U.S. military attaché’s press briefing was held daily and dubbed the “Five O’clock Follies”. Escape the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and begin your journey to My Tho, a charming town located on the left bank of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, dating back to the late 19th century, and admire its stunning architecture. Afterward, hop aboard a traditional sampan boat for a leisurely cruise along the river, passing by the four picturesque islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise.
Stop at Unicorn Island, where you can take a walk along the peaceful country lanes, explore lush orchards, and sample delicious tropical fruits. Enjoy live folk music performed by the locals, and visit a fruit plantation to learn about the region’s agricultural treasures.
Next, take a ride on a hand-rowed sampan through the serene Thoi Son canal, immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the Mekong Delta countryside. Visit a family-run business, explore a honey bee farm, and treat yourself to a cup of honey tea, while witnessing the production of traditional coconut candies.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before taking a short break to relax.
In the afternoon, embark on a cycling adventure around Tan Thach village, where you’ll have the chance to interact with local villagers and get a firsthand experience of daily life in the Mekong Delta. Magical Journey Through the Mekong Delta and Mui Ne
This tour was an absolute dream! The Mekong Delta exceeded all expectations; the vibrant energy of the floating markets was incredible, a sensory explosion of sights, sounds, and smells. The boat trip through the narrow canals, winding past lush vegetation and charming riverside villages, was incredibly peaceful and scenic. My Tho and Ben Tre were both delightful towns, brimming with local charm. The smooth transfer to Mui Ne was a welcome respite, leading to two glorious days of relaxation on the pristine beaches. The entire trip was exceptionally well-organized, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
